Bathroom Linen Cabinets

One of the most important factors in bathroom design is bathroom storage. The bathroom is a place where you will store many different items in a small, confined space such as bath towels, toiletries, toilet paper, bed sheets, cosmetics, and many other items. One way to provide a lot of storage for all of these items is to look at installing bathroom linen cabinets or by building an actual linen closet in your bathroom.

Standard Bathroom Linen Cabinets

In general, any cabinet that you install into your bathroom can be considered a linen cabinet if it has shelves inside, but in most cases, a linen cabinet is a full height cabinet with many shelves to store a lot of different items.

These full height cabinets are usually installed on the end of all your other cabinets, or in an open corner somewhere if your tight for open space. One great idea is to design your bathroom to have cabinets that go wall to wall. On the right and left you have full height bathroom linen cabinets, and in between you have your regular height cabinets with one or two sinks. If you have room for two sinks, then you now have a bathroom linen cabinet for each sink.

Another great idea is to purchase bathroom linen cabinets that measure slightly less in depth than your base cabinets and place them on top of your countertop. You could install only one on the side or in the middle of your countertop, or you could do a similar design as above and install one on the far right and far left so each sink has their own linen cabinet.

Built-In Linen Closet

If you have the space to add a built-in linen closet, then you could build one and you would have all the extra bathroom storage that you need in one closed off place. You could then build shelves at the intervals that you need, and you could even add baskets and/or racks inside the linen closet to further organize all of your bathroom items. An additional great tip is to add a few hooks to the back of your linen closet door so you can hang your bath towel and/or robe on them.

As you can see, by adding on one or two bathroom linen cabinets or by building a linen closet, you will have all the bathroom storage space that you need to keep your bathroom organized and clutter free.
